Selome Araya, MPH is a Reiki Energy Healing Master/Teacher, Mental Health Holistic Healing Practitioner/Trainer, Intuitive Counselor, Ancestral Channel, Trauma Alchemy Guide, & Healing Justice Advocate.
After feeling unsupported by the Western approach to mental health, Selome Araya went on a journey to heal through a holistic, integrative, & spiritually rooted approach. Transmuting her pain led her to became an energy medicine and holistic healing practitioner and offer alternative, holistic, transformational & decolonized healing to support to others. For the last decade, she’s provided various healing services, programs, classes, trainings & communal healing spaces, in her private practice & in collaboration with grassroots and community organizations & other entities, most recently the NYC Dept of Health & Mental Hygiene’s Center for Health Equity. She created the Healing at the Root Mental Health Holistic Healing Methodology & founded the Root Alchemy Institute.
