About Our Guests

Thokozani Mbwana (he/they) is a trans-agender, Ancestor-summoning poet and researcher working in human rights. His research interests lie in LGBTIQ+ rights, free expression, transitional justice, ethical research practices and creative expression as a form of community healing. His creative works explore processes of discovering and becoming of self, and the murky waters that lie between. He is the author of The Sunflower Faces East At Dawn (2022), Agender Daydreams (2022) and behind god’s eyes (2023).
