“Access, Accommodation, Affirmation: The Three A’s of Gender Expansive Health Care”

On Thursday, January 26th at 12:00 PM CST, IHJE’s Executive Director Dr. Amber Johnson will join the SLU School of Medicine for a discussion of gender expansive care. Participants will learn how to:

• Develop the skills required to affirm and accommodate gender expansive patients
• Differentiate between affirming and non-affirming health care for gender expansive patients
• Describe the conditions that lead to a lack of exclusion in health care for gender expansive patients
• Internalize an empathetic and inclusive approach to providing health care to people who are different
